Lives and works in Paris.
Director of Magnum Photos from 2000 to 2006, Diane Dufour has curated numerous exhibitions, including Euro Visons at the Centre Pompidou in 2005 and The Image to Come at the Cinémathèque Française in 2007.
In 2010, she created Le BAL with Raymond Depardon, transforming a former dance hall in Place de Clichy into a space dedicated to the visual document in all its forms. Internationally recognised for the quality of its exhibitions, Le BAL has also become a leading platform for educational experimentation in the field of photography.
Among the exhibitions presented at the BAL in the last two years: Anonymes – L’Amérique sans nom, Topographies of War, Paul Graham and Anticorps/Antoine d’Agata.
Diane Dufour was a nominator for the Rencontres d’Arles in 2013. She nominated Marcela Paniak and Halil.
