A 1993 graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, Sylvie Lécallier has been in charge of the Paris Musée de la Mode’s Galliera photo collection – a collection of 50 000 images, not counting Vogue photographer Henry Clarke’s archive. She was curator for the exhibition Henry Clarke photographe de mode (Henry Clarke, Fashion Photographer), 2002; the fashion exhibitions Ouverture pour Inventaire (Opening for Inventory), 2004; Gallierock par J.C. de Castelbajac, 2007; and co-curator for Madame Grès la couture à l’oeuvre (Madame Grès, haute couture in the making) at the Musée Bourdelle, 2011. She is the author of the catalogue Henry Clarke Photographe de Mode and has written numerous articles on fashion photography, especially on models and catwalk shows.
Sylvie Lecallier presented her work at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2012: Mannequin – le corps de la mode, Musée Galliera at the Espace Van Gogh.
