Lives and works in Barcelona.
David Urbano has particularly a great fondness for fashion photography and for photography of life in general. After taking a degree in psychology at Universitat de Barcelona in 1996, he studied photography at Josep Serra i Abella School. Since then, he has put all his efforts in doing what he likes the most, in taking pictures.
His work in the field of fashion photography is based in fashion editorials and he has been collaborating with several magazines such as B-guided, Fanzine 137, Woman, Metal, El Magazine de El Mundo, Marie Claire, Shangay, Suite, Flydoscope, Butt, among others.
In the artistic field, he took part in joint exhibitions held at the Canal de Isabel II (Madrid) and Tecla Sala (L’Hospitalet, Barcelona). Besides, he has carried out several solo exhibitions but the most outstanding is the one held at Sala d’Exposicions de Josep Soler in Gavá (his native home) at the end of 2006.
David Urbano presented his work at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2008, nominated by Luis Venegas for the Discovery Award: Short cuts at the Grande Halle.
