While the Grand Palais devotes its space to a Helmut Newton retrospective and a tribute is paid to Jean-Paul Goude at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, is fashion still producing great photographers? Does it establish a photographer’s reputation or do fashion magazines in fact find rejuvenation in contemporary photography?
