Lives and work in Denmark.
Hans de Vries worked as an artist until about 1980. Then he moved in Germany and then Denmark when he start running his own dairy farm. In 1969 he won The Gerard te Borg Price in Almelo. He has had solo exhibitions at the following galleries and museum amongst other: Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1971), The Youth Biennale in Paris and The Vienne Biennale, The Gemeentemuseum, Den Haag (1975), the Kunst Historisch Instituut, Groningen (1974), ´t Venster gallery, Rotterdam (1974), Waalkens gallery, Finsterwolde (1974). Among his personal books: Weeromstandigheden (1969) Gechiedenis van de citroengeranium (1973), Dode beestenboek (1974). He also realised several short films.
Hans de Vries will present his work at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2014.
