Bernard Faucon studied philosophy and theology. He was one of the first artists to explore the possibilities of the staged photograph. He began working on this genre in 1976, then called a halt in 1995. From 1997 to 2003, he developed the ‘best day of my youth’ event in 25 countries around the world, and in 1999 published his first collection of writing, La Peur du voyage (‘The Fear of Travel’).
Bernard Faucon presented his work at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2008, with his series Summer 2550, at the Magasin Electrique.
